Do you understand me? Communication Skills...

Updated: Oct 11, 2024

Also called interpersonal communication skills; behaviors that help you interact with others effectively, including loved ones, peers and bosses in the workplace, teachers and peers at school, or in the greater world arena.

  •      What makes interpersonal communication skills so valuable is how transferable those skills are to all areas of life.

  •      Some examples of interpersonal communication skills include active listening, reflective feedback, open mindedness, and empathy.

  • Sometimes, it is difficult to manage our feelings, and we communicate from a place of anger, fear, or zeal. Not all interpersonal communication skills are easy to learn and adopt.

The goal is to effectively communicate your thoughts, feelings, and needs to others and achieve mutual understanding.

BEWARE! People who do not engage in or who actively resist engaging in effective communication with you are not concerned with transparency or maintaining an equally beneficial relationship. In other words, they are only interested in pursuing their own agenda, regardless of how it affects you.
